My Leadership Style
Over the years whether in uniform or in business I’ve learned that real leadership shows up in the trenches, not just the boardroom. Too often, I’ve seen the opposite: blame-shifting, silence when things get hard, and leaders who disappear when their team needs them most. That’s not leadership. That’s damage control dressed up in a suit. In the military, leadership wasn’t about barking orders or wearing rank it was about consistency, presence, and accountability. You didn’t just lead a team you trained with them, struggled with them, won with them. That mindset shaped how I lead today. Now, as a mentor, manager, and team builder in my professional career, I carry that same approach. I lead by being hands-on, by staying grounded in reality, and by never asking anyone to do something I wouldn’t do myself. I give direction, but I also listen. I drive results, but I invest in people. My team isn’t just checking boxes they’re part of a bigger mission. And here’s the truth: when they grow, I grow. This is the kind of leadership I believe in and the kind I bring to every organization, every team, every challenge.
